The Legit Estate Sales story started more than 40 years ago when Michelle attended auctions with her parents nearly every weekend as a child. In her twenties, she scoured estate sales and thrift stores searching for must-have pieces and anything with a little “rust & crust” that she could afford. On the other hand, Rick traveled the world with his parents and began his impressive collection of action figures, coins, and unique treasures from his various trips around the globe. Growing up in Dallas, he had the opportunity to collect items from some of the area’s most infamous estate sales & auctions, including the Margaret Hunt estate and the legendary Trammel Crow estate, to name a few.

Although they come from vastly different backgrounds, both come from a long line of antique hunters, junkers, and collectors. When they’re not antiquing or digging through a pile looking for their latest treasure, you can find them designing native Texas landscapes & water features around Dallas and spending time with their three kids and extremely spoiled dogs.
